Over the last few months I’ve been working on building a bug out bag using items found at thrift stores, Goodwill, Savers, and clearance aisles at Walmart.

The goal wasn’t to build the perfect survival kit. The goal was to see how much useful gear could be gathered without spending a fortune.

Final Thoughts

You don’t always need to buy brand new gear to build a decent emergency kit. Thrift stores and clearance aisles can be great places to find useful items for a bug out bag.
