Amazon EDC Gear Haul: I Regret One of These Purchases
Questionable life choices are back.
Today we are resurrecting an old series where we look at my recent EDC purchases and question whether I made good decisions, bad decisions, or decisions that require adult supervision.
This video is an Amazon EDC gear haul featuring a mix of tools, knives, flashlights, pouches, Faraday bags, and one item I seriously regret buying.
The box totaled over $150, and while most of the gear was either useful, interesting, or surprisingly good for the money, one item at the end turned out to be something I do not want to support or promote.

Amazon EDC Gear Haul
This haul includes items purchased with a mix of my own money, Amazon affiliate earnings that go back into the channel, and help from a very generous viewer donation.
The viewer asked to remain anonymous, but I want to say thank you again. You know who you are, and I greatly appreciate it.

Ansyper CC Two-Pack LED Pen Lights
The first item out of the box is the Ansyper CC two-pack LED pen lights.
These are small, inexpensive LED pen lights with a tail switch, removable pocket clip, and three modes: high, low, and strobe.
They are rated at 180 lumens each, and the two-pack came in at $8.99 at the time of filming.
For a small EDC light, glovebox light, toolbox light, or bag light, that seems like a pretty decent value.

Uni Jetstream 4+1 Metal Edition
Next up is the Uni Jetstream 4+1 Metal Edition.
This is a multi-pen with an all-metal barrel, four ink colors, and a mechanical pencil built in.
The colors include black, red, blue, and green. The pencil is accessed by pressing down the pocket clip.
Both the ballpoint refills and pencil are 0.5 mm. The version shown is gunmetal gray, and it cost $14 at the time of filming.

Mossy Oak D2 Folding Knife
The first knife in the haul is a Mossy Oak D2 folding knife.
This one immediately gives off Bugout-style clone energy, but it does have some notable budget-friendly features.
- 3-inch blade
- D2 steel
- Crossbar lock
- Reversible pocket clip
- Fiberglass scales
- Milled liners for weight savings
It was not quite as light as the knife it visually resembles, and it may need a little time on the sharpening stones, but for $16.99, it could still end up being a decent budget knife.

Tekton 90-Degree Pointed Pick
The next item is the Tekton 90-degree pointed pick.
This is one I had been wanting for a while. It is a little longer than I expected, but for the price, it seems like a solid little tool.
- 90-degree pointed pick
- 1/8-inch shank
- 3-inch pick length
- 6.6-inch overall length
- Hardened steel construction
- Glass-reinforced nylon handle
At around $5, this is the kind of small tool that makes sense in a toolbox, vehicle kit, work bag, or EDC tool pouch.

Real Steel Marlin Fixed Blade
Next up is the Real Steel Marlin fixed blade.
The box showed up beaten to absolute hell, but the knife itself is a lightweight little fixed blade.
- 2.4-inch blade
- 8Cr14MoV steel
- Ceramic-coated blade
- 1.3-ounce weight
- Kydex sheath
- Breakaway chain
- Pocket clip
- Drainage hole in the sheath
I am not a big fan of neck knives, but this could be wrapped with paracord, carried in a boot, or used as a small backup fixed blade.
The retention in the sheath was a little disappointing, but at $12.49, it was still an interesting budget pickup.

ALPAKA Stash Pouch
The ALPAKA Stash Pouch is made from black Axoflux 210D material and includes a YKK AquaGuard zipper.
It has a front pocket, a rear pocket, and elastic material that allows it to stretch around slightly bulkier items.
ALPAKA markets it as a wallet or stash pouch, but it can also work as a small organizer. It fits something like a pen and could easily be used as a compact EDC pouch.
- Axoflux 210D material
- YKK AquaGuard zipper
- Front pocket
- Rear pocket
- Elastic stretch section
- 5.5 inches by 3.5 inches
- About 1.2 ounces
It was on sale for $15.20 at the time of filming, with a regular price around $19.

Bibury 13-in-1 Multitool Knife
The Bibury 13-in-1 multitool knife was one of the biggest surprises in the haul.
This one impressed me a lot for the money. It has a knife, scissors, bottle opener, can opener, quarter-inch bit driver, flathead and Phillips bits, file, window breaker, tweezers, and a locking pocket clip.
The blade is one-hand opening, and the tools lock, which is a big plus.
- 13-in-1 multitool design
- One-hand opening knife
- 5Cr15 blade steel
- 2.95-inch blade
- 6.3-inch open length
- Locking tools
- Scissors
- Can opener and bottle opener
- Quarter-inch bit driver
- Double-sided bit
- File
- Window breaker
- Tweezers
The only real complaint is the closing mechanism, which bulks out the tool a little bit. But for $29.99, this is a very interesting option.
Pair this with a small pair of pliers, and you have a pretty useful compact tool setup.

Faraday Bags
The next item is a two-pack of Faraday bags.
These are meant to block signals from your phone, including cell service and Bluetooth. In the video, the phone immediately lost connection when placed inside and folded closed.
I think everyone should have a Faraday bag available somewhere, whether that is in a go bag, vehicle, emergency kit, or somewhere else you can quickly access it.
Sometimes it is nice to have the option to put your phone away and not be tracked for a little bit.
The set shown is a two-pack, measuring approximately 10.63 inches by 4.92 inches, and cost $8.99 at the time of filming.

The Purchase I Regret
The final item is the one I regret buying.
I purchased it thinking it was going to be a clone-style knife with enough differences that it was not pretending to be the real thing. But when it showed up, it appeared to be much closer to a counterfeit.
The knife was marketed as an EDC fixed blade from a company called Trellough, with a 2.8-inch blade made from 8Cr13MoV steel.
The problem is that it appeared to include branding connected to Montana Knife Company, including on the clip. That is where it crossed the line for me.
Clones are already a gray area. Counterfeits are something I do not want to support.
Because of that, I will not be linking to this item.
No Link for the Counterfeit
I will leave links to the other items from the video, but I will not leave a link to that final knife.
I do not condone buying counterfeits, and I do not want to send anyone toward something that appears to be misrepresented.
Let me know what you think I should do with it. Should I send it back, destroy it, modify it, or something else?

Final Thoughts
This Amazon EDC gear haul had a lot of interesting finds.
The Ansyper pen lights seem like a decent value. The Uni Jetstream 4+1 is a very cool multi-pen. The Mossy Oak folding knife may need a little sharpening but has potential. The Tekton pick is a bargain. The Real Steel Marlin is an interesting lightweight fixed blade. The ALPAKA Stash Pouch is a useful little organizer. The Bibury multitool knife impressed me quite a bit for the price. The Faraday bags are something I think more people should keep around.
But that final knife was a disappointment.
I thought I was buying something clone-like. What showed up appears much closer to a counterfeit, and that is not something I want to promote.
Let me know what you think I should do with it.
