LoopGear SK05 Pro 2 Review: 5,000 Lumens in a Pocket Flashlight
LoopGear sent the SK05 Pro 2 into the channel, and holy hell, this is one heck of a flashlight.
This compact little beast has a maximum output of 5,000 lumens and a maximum intensity of 41,000 candela. That is a lot of light packed into a relatively small box.
If I had any doubts before about LoopGear being a serious flashlight company, the SK05 Pro 2 erased them.

First Impressions
The SK05 Pro 2 feels like a beautifully machined, serious piece of flashlight gear.
It has a single LED for the spotlight, three LEDs for the floodlight, and a strip of RGB side LEDs. The spotlight uses a clear reflector, while the floodlight emitters sit closer to the lens.
The body also includes a lanyard hole, USB-C charging, a magnetic tail, a mode selector, and an intensity selector.

The 41,000 candela spotlight turbo is seriously intense.
Floodlight Mode
The floodlight gives a wider beam for area lighting.

- Maximum intensity: 11,000 candela
The floodlight mode is also very bright and useful when you need a wider wall of light instead of a narrow beam.
Heat
The SK05 Pro 2 gets hot.
After running the higher output modes, the body warmed up quickly. Even the table underneath the light felt warm.
That is the tradeoff with this much power in a compact flashlight. It is impressive, but it is something to be aware of.
22W Charging and Power Bank Function
One very useful feature is the 22W charge and discharge capability.
That means the SK05 Pro 2 can charge quickly, but it can also work as a power bank for your phone or other USB-C devices.
